Learning Peg Words 21 to 100

Learning Peg Words 21 to 100

Topic 7: Learning Peg Words 21 to 100 - Tutorial 13

As mentioned in the Introduction, this tutorial is a little different from the other tutorials, in that you can work through as little or as much of it as you like.

Flexible Learning Approach

You should now be completely familiar with Peg Words 1 to 20, and you will find countless applications to which you can put them. This tutorial introduces you to Peg Words 21 to 100, and you can learn as many of them as you can find practical uses for. If you can think of any memory chore where you will want to memorise 100 items by numerical order, then learn all of them. Otherwise, just learn as many as you think you will use.

Of course, there's no practical reason why the Peg Words should stop at number 100, and the concept of forming your own Peg Words beyond 100 is discussed in the Additional Exercises section.

Peg Words 21 to 100

The Peg Words have been formed using the same rules as before. The Peg Word for each number contains only the phonetic consonant sounds contained in that number, with filler vowels used as necessary to form the word. Here are Peg Words 21 to 100. Decide how many you would like to learn at the moment, then study those words carefully. Pay particular attention to the phonetic composition of each word - remember that the phonetic sounds practically tell you what the Peg Word for any number is.

Learning Tip
Focus on learning one decade at a time. Master numbers 21-30 before moving to 31-40, and so on. This makes the learning process more manageable.

Effective Learning Strategies

🎯
Focus on Decades
Learn one decade at a time. Master 21-30 completely before moving to the next group.
🔄
Regular Review
Review previously learned Peg Words daily to strengthen your memory connections.
🧠
Visualize Strongly
Create vivid mental images for each Peg Word to make them more memorable.
âš¡
Practice Retrieval
Test yourself frequently by recalling Peg Words from random numbers.

Remember, you don't need to learn all 100 Peg Words at once. Start with the decades you're most likely to use and expand your repertoire as needed for your specific memory applications.
